Earlier this month, a representative from Coin Market Cap reached out to the BitStash team in regards to updating the information displayed for STASH on their platform. All requested information has been submitted and approved by their staff.
Now, users are able to view the following:
Market Capitalization that is one way to rank the relative size of a cryptocurrency. It’s calculated by multiplying the Price by the Circulating Supply.
Circulating Supply which is the best approximation of the number of coins that are circulating in the market and in the general public’s hands.
Total Supply which is the total amount of coins in existence right now (minus any coins that have been verifiably burned).
And Max Supply which is the best approximation of the maximum amount of coins that will ever exist in the lifetime of the cryptocurrency.
At this time, all fluctuations in Volume, Market Capitalization, Rank, and Circulating Supply will reflect instantly and accurately on CoinMarketCap.com.
CoinMarketCap does not consider tokens that are held by the team, privately allocated to big investors or put away for future use (marketing, bounty programs, ecosystem development etc) as part of circulating supply because they were never technically available to the public. This is regardless of whether the tokens are “unlocked”, able to be traded, or will be distributed in the future.
